Last year, was Evelyn’s first Christmas but she was only 6 months old, so opening gifts for her was really for mom and dad’s enjoyment and not so much for hers. This year, she’s 18 months old and I cannot wait to see her open her gifts as she is just old enough to get excited over toys and surprises.

You should have seen her face when she came downstairs from her nap this past weekend and the house was decorated with Christmas decor. She was twirling around the kitchen with a stuffed snowman and pointing at everything new! While last year’s gifts may have been more along the lines of adorable clothing and fancy bottles this year’s gifts are all about the toys. She is at such a fun age for Christmas! Here is Evelyn’s Christmas toy list…

Dear Santa:

  1. Chef Accessory Set – She was quite the helper stirring the homemade playdough we made a few weeks ago. How fun to look the part while doing it!
  2. Learning Resources Sprouts Munch It! Food Set – There are a lot of ugly looking play food sets out there. This one is pretty adorable!
  3. Fisher-Price Little People A Christmas Story – Evie has taken a liking to my glass nativity set. (Baby Jesus is still missing somewhere.) How cute is this Fisher-Price nativity set that she can actually have fun playing with!?
  4. Sofia & Clover Hallmark Ornament – Santa always brought me an ornament for the tree every year – a tradition that will carry on in our family. Evelyn LOVES Princess Sofia and we can hang this one near the bottom of the tree for her to play with.
  5. B. Dr. Doctor Kit – B. Toys uses nontraditional colors schemes and everything is so darn cute! Evelyn is just getting to the age where she likes to play make-believe. This toy will be fun for years into her childhood and who knows, maybe she’ll want to be a doctor someday!
  6. Green Toys Cookware & Dining Set – Green Toys makes all of their products out of recycled milk jugs. Evrything is very well made and the muted colors are so sweet. Evelyn loves playing with mom’s dishes so this set will be just for her!
  7. KidKraft Retro Kitchen – I LOVE THIS. Not only does it look awesome, but it is such a fun toy for her age. She is going to have a blast opening and closing all of the doors and pulling out food and dishes.
  8. The Night Before Christmas Book – Reading is one of Evelyn’s favorite activities. This classic story is a must-have!

  1. My daughter was 18 months at xmas two years ago (*sigh*) and the play kitchen with food set was a big hit! Sounds like your little girl is going to have a fantastic Christmas! My daughter is now 3 1/2!and has asked Santa for a Barbie camper, a T-Rex and the Buckaroo board game. Quite the combo! Having kids makes xmas so much more fun!
