SO MANY CHRISTMAS COOKIES!!! I love the warm cozy feeling of a kitchen filled with scents of melting chocolate chips, rising dough and sweet sugar sprinkles. And that’s exactly what my kitchen felt like this weekend! I hosted our annual cookie baking party with three generations of ladies present. My mom, sister, daughter, aunt, cousin and goddaughter made up the list of bakers. Each of us – minus the little ones – brought several cookie recipes and relevant ingredients to tackle during our all day baking adventure. From roll-outs to rum balls and peanut butter kisses to thumbprints we made a mountain of cookies!

My aunt brought Christmas aprons for each of us to wear while baking and my mom gave us fuzzy socks for our sleepover. Jocelovely sent me the sweetest “Mommy and Me” headbands which were perfect for a busy day. Evelyn looked adorable and I was so happy that it actually stayed on her head! They are made with light wire inside of them allowing me to adjust it so that it fit her perfectly. Most headbands just go flying off the second I put them on her (Typical busy toddler problems.) But today it stayed put!

As a busy mom hosting a party, I didn’t have time to do much with my hair that day. I let it air dry in between cleaning up breakfast and making beds and tossed on my new headband. It kept my hair back during baking and after the day wore on I just needed to throw up my hair into a quick messy bun. Look at how cute I still looked even with easy mom hair!

We were exhausted by the end of our 8 hour cookie baking day, but still bolstered up enough energy to play a round of cards and watch two Hallmark Christmas movies. I love the ladies in my family and feel blessed to have them all in my life!

Merry Christmas!

Jocelovely gave me the adorable headbands but all opinions are my own. Thanks Jocelovely!
