Our Levi James is already 3 weeks old and I’m finally getting around to posting his newborn photos! That goes to show you what a whirlwind the first few weeks, and even months, can be. I’ve been soaking in all of the newborn cuteness, that baby scent, and those little coos. I forgot how intoxicating newborns are.
He made his way into this world on Friday, July 14th 2017 at 6:53 pm, 7 lbs 3 oz, and 19.5″ long. I checked in to the hospital at around 7 pm the night before, so it made for a long 24 hours before we finally got to meet him. Long story short, I was induced due to developing hypertension. I also developed hypertension with Evelyn, but my water broke naturally soon after, and I ended up having a c-section as she was my little breach baby.
I was able to have a successful VBAC after 24 hours of being in the hospital and over 3.5 hours of pushing! Oy! We were able to watch the entire movie of Twister while I was pushing, but that’s besides the point, ha! There was something weirdly calming about watching the madness of that twisting tornado while laboring through all those pushes!
Luckily, Levi is not a little tornado (so far anyway). He is my sweet baby boy who loves to snuggle with his mama.
