PUPPY PARTY DETAILS
The puppy themed birthday party that we planned for our kids’ joint party was a success! With our kids’ birthday’s being less than a month apart we decided to throw a joint party for them. Evelyn is obsessed with dogs, so I thought it would be a good theme for both a boy and girl! Evelyn turned four years old while Levi celebrated his very first birthday.
I anchored the decor with black & white stripes, but brightened everything up with fun neon rainbow colors. A super cool rainbow balloon garland was the star of the dessert table! (I made it myself! Tutorial coming soon.)
I broke down the puppy themed food, activities, shops and party supply sources below… Let’s get this paw-ty started! 🙂
Big thank you to the shops that helped make this party so special! This post contains affiliate links.
PUPPY PARTY THEMED FOOD
I had so much fun coming up with puppy themed phrases for the food labels which were created by the awesome small shop MIXbrand.
- Pupcakes
- Hot Dogs
- Pawtato Chips
- Pawsta Salad
- Dog-gone BBQ Pulled Pork
- Kibble & Bits (meat, cheese, and crackers tray)
- Puppy Bones (bone shaped animal crackers – Scooby-doo graham cracker sticks)
- Puppy Treats (rainbow colored suckers)
- Woof & Cheese (mac & cheese)
- Puppy Slop (3 dips for chips – artichoke, nacho, buffalo chicken)
- Waggin’ Tails & Dip (veggie tray)
- Chew Sticks (rainbow colored licorice sticks)
- Toilet Water (lemonade with a few drops of blue food coloring)
- Fruit Kibble (fruit salad)
- Wipe Your Paws (label for napkins)
- Bone Appétit (extra fun sign)
PUPPY PARTY ACTIVITIES
Adopt-A-Puppy | I bought adorable puppy balloons off Amazon and each of the kids got to take a puppy home with them!
Puppy Pinata | Evelyn picked out a Paw Patrol Skye pinata and we stuffed it with candy and small plastic dogs that are about the size of little Shopkins.
Rainbow Bubbles | These fun colored bubble sticks added to the color theme and were a fun favor for the kids.
Pool | We filled a kiddie pool since it was a hot summer day. Straying from our puppy theme, we used a unicorn rainbow colored blow up pool.
We Nixed Opening of the Gifts – I love it when kids can open gifts in front of the people who gave it to them so they can thank them right away. But, we had a really big party since it was also our housewarming event. Due to the party being around dinner time, the number of guests, and the fact that there were double the presents we opted not to do an “opening of the gifts” during the party.
We knew it would take up a good chunk of time, possibly cause meltdowns, and be too hard to gather everyone in one spot. The kids had a blast the next day slowly opening the gifts and playing with each of them.
PUPPY PARTY SHOPS & SUPPLIES
A HUGE thank you to the shops who helped make this puppy themed paw-ty so dog-gone cute! 😉
SHOPS
- MIXbrand | c/o They created the colorful food labels and paw print cupcake wrappers that brightened up the food and dessert tables!
- Tookies NOLA | c/o She really made the puppy theme pop with her handmade custom puppy party pack! I sent her my party colors and she did the rest! I chose the puppy cupcake toppers, happy birthday banner, Levi’s “one” high chair banner, Evelyn’s name banner, and a Welcome Pawty Animals deluxe door sign for my party.
- Cohasset Party Supply | c/o Those too sweet for words puppy plates, puppy napkins, and candles were supplied by Cohasset Party Supply. They also sent us Levi’s large number one balloon and polka-dot paper straws.
- Daydream Society | c/o I love the simplicity of the black & white striped plates, napkins, and cups, and blue and pink striped appetizer plates from the Frenchie Stripes Collection. I loved adding in simple yet modern elements so not everything was puppy themed.
- BEECOOLEST Co. | c/o Levi’s adorable puppy onesie came from this shop. These onsies are cool enough to capture your attention. I couldn’t resist their black and white puppy onsie that went perfectly with our theme.

Love, love LOVE this birthday party theme and every detail of the food and decorations. The “Adopt-A-Puppy” idea is especially cute and something that the kids will remember! Thanks for also including a list of resources, which makes it so much easier to go and try this myself! Wonderful ideas!
So glad you love it! The kids had so much fun and I loved putting it together 🙂
So cute!!! We have been on a Paw Patrol kick and you are giving me some serious inspiration 🙂 hahah my daughter would love this! (& I would too lol)
We are huge paw patrol fans! I just wanted a little bit different color scheme 😉
This is the most adorable puppy party theme I’ve seen!! Where did you get the solid multi-color popcorn boxes?
Aww thank you!!! MIXbrand made those for me too! I’m not sure they make them anymore, but it’s worth reaching out to the shop owner to see! They are the first shop linked under party shops and supplies. Great to work with 🙂
