There’s nothing cozier than a home decorated for Christmas this time of year. I’m loving being able to add a little holiday spirit for our very first Christmas in our new house.
With our open concept living space, I’ve been trying to tie everything together and I’m loving how our simple Christmas kitchen turned out. The large Merry Christmas sign made by 42nd Circle Design makes the entire space. Our ceilings are very high, so the big cheerful sign makes such an impact when you walk into our home. (Thank you again for sending it to me Lisa! Go check out her Etsy shop here.)

A statement sign, green garland, and a cute coffee bar are all you need to add a little festive flair to your kitchen. Then, bake all the cookies so it smells divine! I still need to get to that part! But, I’m planning on baking a couple recipes this week, including my favorite peanut butter balls, which are always a big hit!
Speaking of baking, the kids are having so much fun with their Christmas bakery which is right in our kitchen so that they can play while mom and dad cook! I think their playset is one of my favorite things to decorate each holiday season because the kids get such a big kick out of seeing it change. Plus, it revives their interest in it, which is always nice.

The Merry Christmas truck sign is handmade by the talented Laura from The Handmade Sign Co. Her signs are unique because many of them are made with 3-D cut wood, which makes them extra special in my opinion! I also LOVE her Hot Cocoa sign!
The peppermint garland designed by Wooly Sheep Dots matches the sign perfectly. This garland in the pink version was recently featured in the December issue of Country Living Magazine, which I think is SO cool for my fellow Wisconsin native! These two kiddos are loving their Christmas bakery.

I propped a faux Christmas tree on top an old wooden apple crate, and added one of my scarves to serve as a tree skirt in my entryway. A few Christmas pillows on the bench, cozy lanterns, and touches of black and white buffalo print complete the space.
One of our favorite Christmas traditions is cutting our own Christmas tree. Our tree is a real Blue Spruce and stands over 10 feet tall. It’s beautiful on it’s own, so we just add lights, the family ornaments we’ve collected over the years, and our star tree topper to keep it simple and let the tree’s natural beauty shine.
