Now that I’m home with my kiddos, my wardrobe is looking a bit different these days. I’ve hung up my conference dress pants and ballet flats for a more casual and flexible weekday look that I like to refer to as my “momiform”.

A momiform needs to be cute, comfortable, and flexible enough to be able to chase kids around and nurse babies in! Yet, I still like to keep up with trends and feel good in the clothes I’m wearing. I recently headed to Hilldale for a shopping trip to find my perfect weekday momiform.

NEW BALANCE

An essential part to my weekday momiform is cute and comfy kicks! I’ve been crushing on the New Balance Fresh Foam Cruz shoes, but wanted to try them on before deciding. I’m so glad I did! The customer service rep at New Balance was so helpful in telling me that most people size up a half size in these shoes, and he was right. There’s something so nice about trying on a new pair of shoes and walking around in them before making a purchase. 

THE NORTH FACE

I headed into The North Face looking for either a warm vest or a cozy long-sleeve top to get me through the next couple of cold months we have remaining here in Wisconsin. It’s so funny seeing all these people on Instagram bust out sandals and spring tops. I’m just over here in Wisconsin saying, giiiiirl, we still have months of cooler temps to contend with before I bust out my sandals! …Hence the fuzzy zip-up I snagged from The North Face. I can wear it as a top, or use it as a jacket paired with a basic tee. I love wearing layers when I can. As a breastfeeding mom, I can go from being cold to having hot flashes in less than a minute! 

LULULEMON

THANK YOU lululemon! I had no idea one little pair of leggings could make my butt look like I’m bustin’ it at the gym ALL. WEEK. LONG. Where have these leggings been all my life?! I’m so happy I splurged on myself and finally got the chance to try on the lululemon leggings everybody has been raving about. I get it now. And I’m sold! I went with a basic black pair for my first investment, but would definitely like to grab a colored pair on a future trip to Hilldale. 

Ultimately, my perfect weekday momiform is made up of cute athletic shoes, high-waisted leggings, and a cozy top meant for layering.
