I finally get to reveal my cozy modern patio with you guys! I have been on the hunt all spring and summer for the perfect outdoor sectional that would create a lounge area on our covered back patio.
The covered portion of our back patio is about a 9×13 foot space – just big enough to host a cozy sectional with an outdoor rug on one side and a rocking chair, water feature, and planters on the other side.
This post is in partnership with Donglin Furniture and Rugs USA in exchange for my honest review. This post may also include affiliate links.
OUTDOOR SECTIONAL
The sectional is the Sutton Creek Woven Set with gray cushions from Donglin Furniture located in DeForest, Wisconsin. If you’re one of my Wisconsin followers and you’re within driving distance to the Madison area, you should definitely check out their outdoor furniture closeout sales. They offer overstock patio furniture throughout the year for pickup at their warehouse.
The prices are unbelievable! They have my gorgeous modern outdoor sectional listed for only $350 and it includes the two metal slat top end tables. They constantly updating their Donglin Furniture Facebook page with everything they have in stock.
I love the light wood look metal frame. They used a multi-step hand applied finish to get that wood look. The arms and back are made from hand woven PE yarn that is recyclable, and the comfy cushions are are 800 hour UV rated. You can also get the cushions in a reddish orange color if you really want them to pop!
I love how soft this indoor/outdoor Mentone Reversible Striped Bands rug is from Rugs USA. It makes our outdoor space feel just as comfortable as our indoor living space.
We also have an uncovered stamped concrete patio adjacent to this space, but that’s still a work in progress. That space will serve as our grilling and outdoor dining area. I imagine it with string lights overhead and lush landscaping and tiki torches surrounding it.
Our backyard plans also include a playset area for the kids and a flagstone fire pit zone. We want our outdoor living space to be just as inviting as our indoor living space. We plan on spending a lot of time out there as a family.
We all know that fresh air and running around outside equals a solid night sleep for the kids! That way, maybe my husband and I can sneak back out on our patio to enjoy a glass of wine or a cold beer just the two of us after we put the kids to bed 😉

We have to set that up!
A little jealous because we don’t even have a backyard yet haha. But I’m keeping my fingers crossed that we will soon. I love the simple yet modern look of the couches! It looks like a perfect place to sit and read a book while relaxing.
Thanks girl! I’m headed to the library this week to grab some new books!
Beautiful outdoor style <3 You have a good taste!

Thank you Franny!
I came across your blog because I was doing a google search for that sectional. Now that you’ve had it for a while, how do you feel it’s holding up? (Although I’m guessing you may not have used it much this winter.)
I love the sectional! We had it out for a couple months before putting it away for the winter. The kids jumped around on it, but it wasn’t out in the elements. I don’t have any worries about it though. It’s better than sectionals I was considering for over $1000. So many people I know bought it and love it too.
