Thank you DecoPac for sponsoring this NFL Sunday football post.
Who else is making plans to celebrate football season?! Football Sunday is right around the corner, so why not celebrate with some fun party ideas that the whole family can enjoy?!
School has started, my fantasy football team is set, the first regular season NFL games kick off tonight, and my home team the Green Bay Packers play on Sunday! It’s really starting to feel like fall now. In celebration of the season, I thought it would be fun to put together a post of my Football Sunday party ideas. Or Thursday, or Monday depending on who you’re cheering for 😉
Football Sunday Party Ideas
1 | Create DIY Tissue Paper Pom Poms
These are easy to make and the kids have so much fan waving them around during football games, and in the case of my kiddos saying, “GO PACK GO”!
Materials for One Pair of Poms:
- (8) sheets of tissue paper in your favorite team colors
- (1) pair of scissors
- (1) roll of black electrical tape
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Stack tissue paper in alternating colors.
- Fold in half.
- Cut strips about half way down from the open end.
- Unfold tissue paper and cut down the fold line.
- Roll tissue paper to form your pom pom.
- Tape bottom for a sturdy handle.
See, easy peasy! And if you have kids old enough to handle scissors they can help make them too!
2 | Serve Officially Licensed NFL Cake
Order an officially licensed NFL cake or cupcakes from your local bakery. I picked up a fun Green Bay Packers cake from ours. I love how it anchors the party display sitting so pretty on top of my white cake stand. It is the perfect dessert to get in the football spirit and serve on any fun football themed paper plates to make it even more festive. There are even more Green Bay Packers options you can check out by visiting Cakes.com. Or go search your own team’s fun officially licensed NFL cake decor.
3 | Pack a PUNCH With A Fun Refreshment
I love any excuse to pull out my drink dispenser! I also have a stash of glass milk jugs that look so cute with an addition of a straw and fruit slice.
Pack A PUNCH Ingredients
- 1 jug limeade
- 1 jug lemonade
- 4 cans of your fav sparkling water
- Sliced lemons & limes
4 | Feed Hungry Fans With Game Day Food
Game Day Menu
- Venison chili (see recipe here, just substitute the beef with venison)
- Cornbread toppers made in a mini muffin pan
- Cheese tray (duh, we’re Packers fans!)
- Chocolate covered pretzels shaped into a football
- Cake from your local bakery
- Pack a PUNCH refreshments
Okay, I’m going to stop there with four fun Football Sunday party ideas because anyone who is a Green Bay Packers fan knows the importance of the number 4 in Packers Nation! 🙂 Now go grab that officially licensed NFL cake at your local bakery and let’s get this party started!
Which NFL team are you cheering on this football season?
The colors are so pretty! I think your daughter’s face is my favorite though haha. We don’t really watch football in my house but I think this is nice inspiration for many different types of parties. Did you make the cake or you had it ordered?
It’s from our local grocery store bakery!
