I’ve got a delicious, simple, and kid-friendly Peanut Butter and Chocolate Banana Smoothie Recipe I want to share with you all! We’ve been making a lot of smoothies around here lately. My kids beg for them! And, I’m like “absolutely you can have a smoothie”, as I hide all sorts of healthy goodness inside them, yet make them taste like dessert. I feel like smoothies are a mom’s ultimate sneak attack to get nutrients inside our kids without them even knowing! 😉 This smoothie recipe is great for the whole family!

PEANUT BUTTER AND CHOCOLATE BANANA SMOOTHIE RECIPE Live Real Farms

PB + CHOCOLATE BANANA SMOOTHIE INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Cup Live Real Farms Dairy + Almond Sweetened Chocolate Milk Blend
  • 1 Cup Vanilla Greek Yogurt
  • 2 Frozen Bananas
  • ¼ Cup Natural Peanut Butter
  • 1 TBSP Chia Seeds

WHY I LOVE THESE INGREDIENTS

I love using the Live Real Farms Dairy + Almond Sweetened Chocolate Milk Blend because it’s the first dairy milk that is fortified with plant power, so you get the simple goodness of plants and the real creaminess of dairy. It’s made of 50% delicious dairy and 50% plants. There’s one of my sneaky mom ways to add plants into our day! It also has 5g of protein, is lactose-free, and is a good source of calcium! Plus, the chocolate flavor is what makes this smoothie taste like dessert!

My kids love the combo of bananas and peanut butter, and so do I! Another win for mom as I add in fruit and even more protein into our smoothies. Frozen bananas are key to this smoooooth smoothie. I like to avoid adding ice because my kids don’t like the chunks.

I try to add chia seeds into a lot of my foods – cereal, yogurt, smoothies, salads, etc. They are an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids, rich in antioxidants, and they provide fiber, iron, and calcium. They also aid in hydration as they absorb thirty times their weight in water, which helps regulate body fluid levels and retain electrolytes. Staying hydrated has been high on my priority list lately to maintain a healthy immune system response.

Smoothie Tip: I don’t always measure my ingredients when making a smoothie. Pour as much Live Real Farms Dairy as you like! If you like to use a straw to slurp up your smoothie, keep adding a little until you get the consistency you desire. Either way, this simple and delicious Peanut Butter and Chocolate Banana Smoothie recipe is perfect for the whole family! Enjoy!
