Who loves a good book shelfie? I’ve always wanted to create a Kids Halloween Book Wall and I finally did it. I have to say I think it turned out adorable. A themed book wall is such an inviting way to ignite a love for books in kids. It naturally rotates out books so that they are always fresh and exciting!
TIPS FOR CREATING A THEMED BOOK WALL
- Gather all your holiday specific books. In this case, Halloween Books! Personally, I like to store holiday books with our seasonal decor each year, so they they feel brand new when we take them out. You can visit my Amazon shop for my list of Halloween Books to get some ideas if you don’t already own any. I also have a Fall Book list if you want to mix it up.
- Add a festive garland to drape along the ledges or bookshelf. Wooly Sheep Dots is my go to shop for all of my garland needs. This Toil and Trouble Felt Star Halloween garland is perfect for Evelyn’s room. I love the pops of pink!
- Add seasonal decor to dress up your kids Halloween book wall. I used a letterboard, a little LED ghost, paper glitter bats, and this unicorn dressed as a vampire I snagged at Target.

Levi’s Halloween Book Shelf
I love that sweet ghost balloon I added above Levi’s bookshelf. It was only $3 and makes such a big impact. His favorite Halloween Book is the Little Blue Truck’s Halloween. He won’t let me put it away with the rest of the books after the holiday is over!
So cute! Thank you for the great idea, I have been looking for a way to display our theme books for school units and love this setup!
I’m so glad you like it! It makes it easy to choose themed books!
