If you’re headed to Door County and looking for a beautiful modern home to stay in during your vacation, The Triangle House on Lake Michigan is a wonderful place to call home. This house is designed for memory-making. Owners Leslie and Ray invited us to stay in their new vacation home and I can’t say enough good things about our visit. We especially loved the unique architecture and design, the waves of Lake Michigan in its backyard, and the many amenities the home offers.

Location | Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin in Door County

The Triangle House is located in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin which offers easy access to restaurants, grocery stores, activities, and Door County destinations. During a clear day, you can see the historical landmark of the Sturgeon Bay Canal Lighthouse from the backyard. A beautiful fog engulfed the beach during our stay, which made for some awesome photos on the rocky beach.

The Triangle House Amenities

OUTDOOR AMENITIES | You don’t need to worry about the weather because The Triangle House offers many amenities inside and out. We enjoyed making s’mores at the bonfire while listening to the waves lap onto the beach. We explored the rocky beach and made stone creations by stacking our favorite finds on top of each other. Some say Lake Michigan rock hunting is the best on earth!

You can sway in the hammock overlooking Lake Michigan or soak in the hot tub with a beverage. We utilized the outdoor grill for for burgers we purchased from Marchant’s Meats & Sausage just 10 minutes away. There’s plenty of outdoor seating and tables too!

INDOOR AMENITIES | We were impressed by the fully stocked kitchen with modern dishes and appliances. They thought of everything including indoor and outdoor dishware. The gas stove offered a place for us to cook delicious food during our stay. We could never go without a hot cup of coffee in the morning – the coffee maker and jar of coffee grounds were much appreciated!

During our stay, a rainy coldfront came through, so we started a cozy fire in the wood burning fireplace. The home is already stocked with dry wood making it super convenient to use. We brought our own favorite board games to play, but there is a cabinet of games and puzzles available at the house.

There are also plenty of comfortable nooks for you to curl up in and read a book. Sneak up to the cupola at the top of the winding staircase for a beautiful view, the sound of waves, and a cushioned bench to lay back on.

If you’re not looking to unplug, the available wi-fi works great! If you work from home, make The Triangle House your new office for a week. You can also have a movie night or catch up on your favorite shows with Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime, and Hulu.

We stayed with 2 kids and 4 adults with plenty of space. The Triangle House has two bedrooms on the second floor each with a cozy queen sized bed. I really wanted to take the comforter home with me! There’s also a split bathroom on that floor – a separate shower room and a toilet and vanity room.

Keep going up the spiral staircase to the third floor bunk room. Two twin sized bunk beds offer four more beds. Our kids each claimed a top bunk and loved “their room”. The spiral staircase travels up one more floor to the top cupola – the perfect lookout for a view of the lake.

The main floor offered one more bathroom with another shower. We loved the stocked Public Goods bath and body products in the bathrooms! Such a nice touch. There was also a first aid kit in the first floor bathroom as well as hair dryers in each bathroom. The house is even stocked with towels, extra blankets, and even a basket of beach towels.

Like I said, they really thought of everything while creating The Triangle House vacation rental! We really enjoyed our weekend away and think you will too!
