Just one of those summer days that filled our cups. ☀️🌊

We spent the day at the beach, soaked up every minute of the sunshine, and finished it off with ice cream… because that’s just how a beach day should end. 🍦

The unexpected highlight? Levi’s cousins buried him in the sand and covered him with chips so the seagulls would come to him. 😂 He was all in on the plan and stayed perfectly still, completely committed to seeing if it would work.

These are the little moments that end up becoming our favorite memories. 💙

When Jeremy and I first got married, we bought a little ski boat and spent our first two summers renting a tiny lake house. Those are still some of my favorite memories.

Then we got pregnant with our first baby, sold the boat, and told ourselves, “One day we’ll buy another one.”

For years, we heard the same things: Boats aren’t worth it. They’re expensive. They’re a lot of work.

And honestly? They’re right about one thing… they do take work.

But so do most of the best things in life.

Not every purchase has to be an investment that grows your bank account. Some investments grow your family, your memories, your traditions, and your quality of life.

When people say a boat is a depreciating asset, I can’t help but smile. Because while the boat may lose value on paper, every summer it gives us another sunset, another laugh, another tubing adventure, another memory we’ll never get back.

To us, that’s the kind of investment that’s worth making. ❤️🚤

There’s just something about coffee, books, and wandering the aisles with my girls. ☕📚 I’ve been meaning to try the Barnes & Noble Café Book deal since LAST fall and finally made it happen. Buy a café drink and you can pick up the monthly Café Read for just $5!

This month’s pick is Salty: two estranged sisters, a luxury yacht, shady rich people, and a mysterious dead body. It already sounds like the perfect beach read. 🌊

The girls had just as much fun exploring the children’s section (that little stage is the cutest 🥹), and now I’m wishing Barnes & Noble was a lot closer to us because we’d definitely become regulars.

Have you read Salty yet… or what’s one book I need to add to my TBR?

Apparently the “AI Facebook Marketplace cabinet” debate isn’t over. 😂

After reading so many of your comments, I had to show it from another angle! I honestly can’t decide if I like it angled in the corner or pushed flush against the wall.

So now I’m leaving it up to the Internet…

✨ Which looks better: ANGLED or FLUSH? Tell me why - I want to hear your vote!

Nothing for breakfast? Challenge accepted. 🍁🥚☕️

After having to throw away all of our eggs, I decided to skip the grocery store and source breakfast the local way. I love that we have so many amazing local options right in our area!

Here’s where we stopped:

🍁 Taps Maple Syrup — local maple syrup
🥛 Park Ridge Organics — Farm Staples chocolate milk, Thunderbird Bakery bread, Freis Von Kiel Salted Butter, and Prairie Gold pasture-raised organic eggs

There’s just something special about knowing where your food comes from and supporting the people who make it possible. ❤️

Also… if you’re upgrading your kitchen, don’t forget about my favorite non-toxic nonstick pans from @caraway_home . You can use code SUGARMAPLENOTES10 for 10% off (even on top of their sales!).

Thanks for coming along for our little breakfast adventure! 🍳✨
